SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – A local business is in trouble after a car fire.
Ashley Dinwiddie owns Bake My Day in Spokane Valley. The bakery sells everything from half-pound cinnamon rolls to scratch-made kolaches.
On her husband’s birthday, Ashley woke up to her family truck fully engulfed in flames. The Spokane Fire Department believes the fire started from a phone charger left plugged in in the vehicle.
The truck was used to haul the Bake My Day trailer, which is used for community events and farmers markets.
Dinwiddie says these events are a major source of business for the bakery. Not being able to provide this service leaves Bake My Day in a hard spot. The business owner has already been struggling with the effects of inflation, and this fire puts them in an even more difficult position.
Now, the bakery is seeking the community’s support to keep their lights on and doors open.
You can support Bake My Day by donating to their Go Fund Me or checking out their delicious goods at their Spokane Valley location. Their treats are made with real and wholesome ingredients, organic flour, and minimal food colorings.
You can find them in the iconic windmill building at 18123 E. Appleway Ave. in Spokane Valley or on their website.
