SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – A Spokane Valley man has been sentenced to federal prison for planning to distribute fentanyl in downtown Spokane.
According to the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Washington, 46-year-old Alexander Kosnicki was sentenced to almost six years in federal prison followed by six years of supervised release.
Kosnicki was convicted of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and felon in possession of a firearm in February of this year.
According to court documents, Kosnicki was sleeping in the lobby of an apartment building in downtown Spokane on November 22, 2022.
