DEER PARK, Wash. — A 15-year-old is facing multiple felony charges for burglaries that happened in Deer Park last month.
According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, calls came in around 11:45 p.m. on May 20 about a burglary at a home near East D Street and South Forest Avenue in Deer Park.
The homeowner said someone broke into their house and stole all the keys to their vehicles. A white Chevrolet truck was also stolen.
A few minutes before the burglary call, deputies received word of a white Chevrolet that crashed into a disabled parking sign pole at Yoke’s. The driver, later identified as the 15-year-old male suspect, ran away from the truck, entered Yoke’s and tried to steal alcohol.
On May 22, detectives were also able to connect the 15-year-old to a burglary at Expressway on May 5 as well as other crimes in the area.
At around 8:30 a.m. on May 22, the 15-year-old was arrested and booked into Spokane County Juvenile Detention Center for residential burglary, vehicle theft, malicious mischief, hit-and-run and burglary.
SCSO said the investigation is still ongoing.
