CHELAN COUNTY, Wash. — A burn ban will be in effect in Chelan County on Wednesday, according to Chelan County Fire District 3.
CCFD3 said the combination of current fuel moistures and fire weather are the cause for the ban on all outdoor debris burning.
The ban will begin on May 28 in the morning. Recreational campfires in approved areas will still be acceptable.
It is not legal to burn within the City of Leavenworth or the associated Urban Growth Area.
No end to the burn ban has been provided.
