LACLEDE, Idaho — Upper and Lower Manley areas have been placed on “ready status” for potential evacuations as crews battle a growing wildfire that began as a single structure fire.
Fire crews responded to the initial call in the area Lower Manley Creek Road at 2:41 p.m. Tuesday. Crews arrived to find a structure fully engulfed with fire spreading into nearby vegetation.
The fire destroyed multiple structures and vehicles while burning an estimated 5 acres. Fire officials suspect more than one wildland fire may be burning in the area.
Lower Manley Creek Road remains closed as additional fire resources have been requested.
The Laclede Community Center is being opened for any displaced homeowners.
Fire officials are requesting residents in affected areas to stay alert for potential evacuation orders.
This is a developing story.
