CHENEY, Wash. – Former Gonzaga Bulldog women’s basketball great Brynna Maxwell signed a deal to join the Eastern Washington Eagles women’s basketball staff as an assistant coach.
Born in Portland, Maxwell grew up in Gig Harbor, winning the WIAA state championship her senior season.
Maxwell spent two seasons with the Zags after three at Utah, she averaged a career-high 14.2 points per game in her fifth season.
The Chicago Sky drafted her in the second round of the 2024 WNBA Draft, but then waived her after a knee injured sustained during training camp.
Maxwell spent the past year playing for Celta Baloncesto Femenino in Spain.
