This week, 4 News Now is dedicated to taking on and talking about our teens in crisis with a look at mental health.
Experts say it’s just as important for parents to help children develop good mental health as much as physical health.
It’s easy for parents to encourage kids to get outside and play a sport or go for a bike ride, but how do you care for their mental health? How do you connect with your kids when they seem to be shutting down? What signs should you be watching for?
These are some of the questions 4 News Now is working to answer for you.
We’ll have an expert from the National Alliance on Mental Illness join Derek Deis and Kirstin O’Connor on 4 News Now at 6 to answer questions.
What do you want to know about talking with your children about mental health?
You can submit your questions to News4@kxly.com with the subject line: Teens in Crisis. Then watch 4 News Now at 6 Thursday, May 22 as we try to answer as many of your questions as we can on air.
