SPOKANE, Wash. — It’s time for spring cleaning and Spokane’s Emerson-Garfield neighborhood is helping residents to lighten the load.
On May 17, people living in the Emerson-Garfield neighborhood can participate in the annual Spring Cleanup by gathering up their clutter and dropping it off at Faith Bible Church.
Between 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., the church will accept residential waste, such as everyday junk, bagged clean green materials (yard waste) and metal recycling.
Most appliances and mattresses are acceptable drop-off items. Unacceptable items include paint, fridges, freezers, concrete and toxic waste.
People dropping off will be asked to show their photo ID or utility bill to show proof of residence in Emerson-Garfield. Click HERE to see the neighborhood boundaries.
Faith Bible Church is located at 600 W. Cora. If you have questions or would like to volunteer, contact cleanup coordinator, Jeff, at 509-294-0055.
