SPOKANE, Wash. – What a way to celebrate Mother’s Day than to hit the walk-off game-winner in the 10th inning; Braylen Wimmer can do it all.
The Spokane Indians beat the Vancouver Canadians 4-3 after a slog of a first six scoreless innings, Konner Eaton pitching a remarkable shutout six with eight strikeouts and only four batters allowed on base.
Wimmer and Jared Thomas were the only Indians with multiple hits, and the team managed 10, eight coming in the final four frames.
Spokane bests Vancouver for the series, winning four of six games, and next heads to Eugene to battle the Emeralds starting Tuesday evening.
