SPOKANE, Wash. — Two local collegiate basketball teams will face off later this year in the first of three annual matchups announced Friday.
Washington State University and Eastern Washington University will compete against each other in the ‘509 Classic’ at the Spokane Arena at least for the next years.
The first matchup between the Cougs and Eagles will be Wednesday, December 17.
According to WSU, the Cougs are 59-13 all time versus the Eagles but their previous two losses were when EWU was under current Cougs Coach David Riley.
Tickets, planned community events, and other details will be announced at a later time.
