Former Washington State Cougar Cedric Coward, who was projected to be the biggest star on WSU’s roster last season, will play for Duke in the 2025-26 campaign.
Coward missed the majority of the 2024-25 season with the Cougs after receiving shoulder surgery for a torn labrum that happened just six games into non-conference play.
Prior to the injury, Coward was WSU’s top-scorer and regarded as one of the biggest play makers. In those six games, Coward averaged 17.7 points and seven rebounds per game. He followed head coach David Riley from Eastern Washington after starting for the Eagles from 2022-24.
This is Coward’s fourth school. He’s played for Willamette, Eastern Washington, Washington State, and now Duke.
