SPOKANE, Wash. — Book lovers and casual readers alike will have a chance to browse through hundreds of titles at the annual Friends of the Spokane Public Library Book Sale taking place this weekend.
The event runs April 24th – 26th at the Shadle Park Library, featuring a wide selection of fiction and non-fiction books priced at less than a dollar. An entire room will be dedicated to children’s books, available for just 25 cents each.
“There’s something at this book sale for everyone, whether you’re a cook, or a traveler, whether you want to learn more about religion, or just read a good old mystery,” said Judi Young, a member of Friends of the Spokane Public Library.
Proceeds from the sale help support library operations.
The sale opens Thursday with a members-only preview. It opens to the public on Friday, and on Saturday, shoppers can fill a bag of books for $3 or a box for $6. A plant swap will also be held during Saturday’s event.
More information about the sale, including location and hours, is available on the Spokane Public Library website.
