SPOKANE, Wash. — Three new lilac trees were recently planted at Chief Garry Park near the center ball field.
Spokane Urban Forestry said these trees will provide shade for spectators while enhancing the park’s beauty with its breathtaking blooms.
The trees are part of a larger project which will add around 15 lilac trees and 40 lilac shrubs throughout the Spokane parks system.
Spokane Urban Forestry said this project is made possible thanks to the Spokane Indians Baseball’s 50th Anniversary fundraising efforts.
