COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Marie’s Boutique, located in the Coeur d’Alene Resort, recently marked 30 years of operation in the North Idaho community.
The clothing retailer reached this milestone as it continues to serve customers from its location in the lakeside resort.
Marie Widmyer, who took over the boutique in 1995 from the original owner — also named Marie — has maintained the business for nearly three decades.
“You can’t do it all yourself. It takes a community,” Widmyer said, attributing the store’s continuation to customer loyalty and community support.
The establishment has operated as a family business throughout its history, with Widmyer’s daughters and husband contributing to its operations over the years.
While downtown Coeur d’Alene has experienced development and changes in its business landscape, Marie’s Boutique has maintained its presence in the local retail sector.
The boutique continues to operate from its location in the Coeur d’Alene Resort, serving both local shoppers and visitors to the area.
