STATELINE, Idaho — Officers with the Post Falls Police Department arrested an armed man Sunday night in a standoff.
According to PFPD, detectives were near a home on Riverbend Avenue near Pointe Parkway to serve a search warrant on a 52-year-old man for a possible sex offense.
During the investigation, the suspect drove through the area. Detectives pulled the vehicle over but said the man refused to cooperate, stayed in his car and was armed with a handgun.
Law enforcement shut down Riverbend Avenue and nearby I-90 for the standoff.
Detectives say the suspect eventually surrendered and was booked into the Kootenai County Jail.
