SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Arbor Day is just over a week away, but the fun is kicking off this weekend in Spokane Valley!
Spokane Valley Parks and Recreation has multiple ways for you to celebrate Arbor Day for free.
From April 18 to April 25, you can take a self-guided tree identification tour through Mirabeau Meadows. As you walk along the paved path, keep an eye out for multiple trees that have signs telling you the name of the tree and fun facts about the species!
On Friday, April 25, you can also stop by Mirabeau Point Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for an Arbor Day Celebration event. This event will have activities for kids, seedling giveaways, informational booths and interactive activities and games.
Some of the kids activities include tree bingo, coloring, crafts and more.
