SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Children’s Theater is selling tickets now for its production of Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach.
This musical adventure follows James and his vibrant ensemble of oversized insects as they journey across the Atlantic Ocean aboard a giant peach.
Dahl’s book was crafted into this on-screen version by Timothy Allen McDonald. The musical score was created by Tony and Academy Award winners Benji Pasek and Justin Paul.
“At its heart, this story is about resilience. James, having endured loss and hardship (as so many of us have), discovers unlikely companions in creatures he never imagined would become his dearest friends,” Director Beth Taylor said. “It’s a tale of resourcefulness, connection, and wonder in the face of adversity. Dahl’s reverence for children—their boundless imagination, unshakable resilience, and unapologetic belief in magic—is the thread that ties this world together.”
The show will run at 7 p.m. on Fridays, 2 p.m. on Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays from April 18 to May 4.
A special family value night is scheduled for Saturday, April 26 at 7 p.m. where all tickets will be $12.
There will be an ASL interpreted production on Sunday, April 27 at 2 p.m.
