SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — In order to combat the increase of pregnant dogs in the community, Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Services is putting on a free spay and neuter clinic this month.
The clinic will provide free services to 100 household dogs at the SCRAPS facility in Spokane Valley on March 30.
SCRAPS says the best solution to reduce the overpopulation of dogs being abandoned or dropped off at shelters is spaying and neutering.
Puppies must be at least eight weeks old, weigh at least 2 pounds and be healthy in order to receive services.
Registration is required for this event. There is a refundable or donatable $25 reservation fee to hold your spot.
There will also be free microchips and vaccines available for registered participants.
SCRAPS says all donations will be used to fund future events.
Registration will open soon for the event. Once it opens, you can register online here.
To find out when registration opens for the event, follow Northeast Washington Spay and Neuter Alliance, SCRAPS Hope Foundation, SCRAPS Volunteers, Higher Ground Animal Sanctuary, Murci’s Mission Rescue, The Furry Farm Rescue, SpokAnimal or PetSavers on social media. Do not call SCRAPS directly about registering for the clinic.
