SEATTLE, Wash. — Seattle Seahawks starting quarterback Geno Smith will undergo testing after missing two straight practices due to hip and knee issues.
“He’s just working through a couple things from the other day but we’ll get some imaging tonight and we’ll see,” head coach Mike Macdonald said.
It is unclear how long Smith will be out.
Backup quarterbacks Sam Howell and PJ Walker are expected to get first-string reps in Smith’s absence.
It’s the second time Smith has been injured in practice.
He missed two games with a groin strain at the end of last season.
