SPOKANE, Wash – Gonzaga fans will get another chance to see the women’s team play at home this season, as the Zags accepted a bid to the WBIT and will host a game Thursday night at the Kennel.
Gonzaga missed out on the NCAA tournament after losing to Oregon State in the WCC tournament.
The Zags join 32 teams the WBIT and will host UTSA.
“We are really excited that we get to play in the Kennel again on Thursday,” head coach Lisa Fortier said. “We get to play in front of the best fans in the country again and we hope they will show up for us. We do our best to position ourselves to play in the post season, and our team has done enough to be able to achieve that. I think we have parts of our game we can continue to improve at and believe that our best basketball is still ahead of us.”
The game tips off at 6 pm local time and will be streamed on ESPN+.
