SPOKANE, Wash. — A Mead man has pled guilty to filing fraudulent Covid-19 loan applications and receiving over $180,000.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, 54-year-old Antonio Crawford fraudulently filed Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) applications and received $186,971 in 2020 and 2021.
U.S. Attorney Vanessa Waldref says Crawford filed for the loans on behalf of four businesses submitting false information and documents including fraudulent tax returns.
Crawford pled guilty to one count of bank fraud and his sentencing hearing is scheduled for October 30.
