LEWISTON, ID — One of two men involved in a Boise prison escape in March has been transported to Nez Perce County to face murder charges of an elderly man killed during the escape.

According to the Nez Perce County Prosecutor’s Office, Skylar Meade is accused of killing 83-year-old James Mauney near Leland and was formally indicted in June.
The prosecutor’s office says Meade has already pled guilty to planning and executing a prison escape.
Meade and his accomplice, Nicholas Umphenour, were on the run for about a day before being arrested and connected to two murders during the escape.
