IDAHO — If you didn’t make enough last year to file an income tax return, you can still get a refund for some of the sales tax paid on groceries in Idaho.
The Idaho State Tax Commission says all full-year Idaho residents qualify for a grocery credit refund.
The 2024 refund is $120 for most people plus $120 for each qualifying dependent. People 65 or older get $140 from the refund.
Qualifying dependents include those born or adopted before the end of the year as well as resident dependents who died in 2024.
The commission says the amount you get is prorated to exclude any months you received food stamps, were in jail or were in the United States illegally.
