SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A fire broke out in the garage of a Spokane Valley home on Sunday, according to Spokane Valley Fire Department.
Around 6 a.m. on March 9, SVFD, along with Spokane Fire Department and Spokane County Fire District 9, responded to a reported garage fire near Euclid Avenue and Ella Road.
When firefighters arrived, they found an active fire in the garage that was threatening the rest of the home.
SVFD said the people living at the home evacuated safely before fire crews arrived.
Firefighters knocked down the flames before the fire spread to the house. Most damage was limited to the garage, with slight damage to the outside of the house.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
“Every moment matters. If you see smoke or fire, report it by calling 9-1-1 immediately,” said SVFD.
