SPOKANE, Wash. — Multiple police cars responded to Spokane’s Chief Garry Park area on Monday evening.
Around 1:30 p.m. on March 10, Spokane Police Department officers responded to a domestic violence call at a home near Boone Avenue and Stone Street.
The caller said a man inside the house was armed with a weapon.
SWAT negotiators also responded to the scene to help SPD deescalate the situation.
Around 6:00 p.m., officers said one victim exited the house safely and SPD began clearing the house with drones and robots.
As of 7 p.m., SPD said it was unsure if the suspect was still inside the house. SPD has closed Stone Street from Sharp to DeSmet and Altamont from Sharpe to Boone.
This is a developing story.
