LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Gonzaga women’s basketball fell short against the Oregon State Beavers on Monday afternoon, eliminating them from the WCC Tournament.
In the final eight seconds of the game Oregon State guard Kennedie Shuler hit a jumper, putting the Beavers up 63-61 with .8 left on the clock.
Following a time-out, Zag forward Yvonne Ejim caught the inbound pass, but missed the layup.
The Zags shot 6 of 11 (54.5%) from the free throw line.
Allie Turner had 18 points
Yvonne Ejim pulled 14 rebounds.
Oregon State shot 12 of 14 (85.7%) from the free throw line.
The Zags were unable to score any points in the final 3:43 in the game.
