SEATTLE, Wash – The Seattle Seahawks will have a new starting quarterback next season, based on reports from multiple outlets Friday afternoon.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Seahawks are trading quarterback Geno Smith to the Las Vegas Raiders for a third-round draft pick.
Bleacher Report and NFL.com are reporting the same.
Smith took over for Russell Wilson in 2022 and led the Seahawks to the playoffs in his first season as the starter.
He ended the 2024 season with 21 touchdowns and 15 interceptions, leading the Hawks to a 10-7 record.
The trade would reunite Smith with former Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll who was named head coach of the Raiders in January.
