SPOKANE, Wash – From fourth grade all the way through professional soccer, the next few weeks will bring thousands of people to Spokane for sporting events.
The area around the Spokane Arena will be especially busy with State B basketball, the start of USL soccer and the headquarters for the state middle school basketball championship.
Teams and fans of State B teams will be at the Spokane Arena through Saturday night.
Saturday also kicks off the professional soccer season at One Spokane Stadium.
The Zephyr host Carolina Ascent FC Saturday night at 6:00. Next weekend, both the Zephyr and Spokane Velocity have games at home.
Hundreds of middle school (4-8th grade) girls basketball teams will play at sites all over Spokane County this weekend, with championship games at The Podium. Teams from Washington, Idaho and Montana will compete.
Next week, Spokane will host the boys middle school basketball championships.
