TACOMA, Wash. – The Gonzaga Prep Bullpups survived a scare in the 4A state basketball tournament Thursday, outlasting Auburn, 53-50 in overtime to advance to the semifinals.
The top-seeded Bullpups (24-2) will play third-seeded Glacier Peak Friday at 3:45 p.m.
Junior Carter Nilson paced Gonzaga Prep with 15 points, while Brogan Howell had 14 and Jackson Mott added 13.
The Bullpups are looking for their first 4A state title since winning back-to-back titles in 2018 and 2019.
