SEATTLE, Wash. – Minutes after the Seattle Seahawks released Tyler Lockett, fellow wide receiver DK Metcalf requested a trade.
The Seahawks have agreed to explore options and try to find the 27-year-old a new home, according to NFL insider Adam Schefter.
Schefter says Metcalf prefers to play for a contender.
The former Ole Miss standout has one All-Pro nod (2020) and two Pro Bowl selections (2020, 2023).
Metcalf has played six seasons in Seattle, all four had 900+ receiving yards and five touchdowns, last season his career low in scores and tied for his second-fewest catches in a season.
