SPOKANE, Wash — Last March one of the longest standing barbershops in Spokane closed its doors after more than six decades in business.
Now, the iconic light up sign that stood above Dan’s Barbershop has a new home.
On Tuesday, Vintage Print + Neon posted on its Facebook page that it had taken down the sign and it will display it at its shop in the Garland District, adding a thank you to Spokane Preservation Advocates and the Flambouras family for making it happen.
According to the post, Vintage Print + Neon plans to bring the sign “back to life”, referencing a flasher unit inside.
Vintage Print + Neon also has a collection of other vintage neon signs from Spokane’s past. You can find the shop at 914 W. Garland Ave.
