LUCAS OIL STADIUM, Indianapolis – Washington State’s only representative at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine is wide receiver Kyle Williams.
Williams spent two seasons with the Cougs and caught 131 passes for 2,041 yards. He logged 20 touchdowns which is tied for sixth most in school history. his He totaled seven 100-yard games which is tied for 10th all-time. Williams also appeared in Reese’s Senior Bowl.
Showing off in front of NFL scouts, Williams ran a 4.40 40-yard dash. A 4.39 is tied for the ninth fastest time among receivers. Williams is projected to be a day two pick and likely to go in the second or third round.
Former Washington State quarterback Cameron Ward was also at the combine but was one of two quarterbacks (the other being Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders) that elected not to throw.
Ward is projected to be the first overall draft pick. The current holder of that pick for the 2025 NFL draft is the Tennessee Titans.
Ward transferred into WSU after playing at Incarnate Word in Texas. He then played two seasons with the Cougs before using a graduate transfer year to play with the Miami Hurricanes.
“From… travelling to Pullman, Washington all the way to Miami, I just think that you know me having to experience different climate changes, different atmospheres… it’s only going to help me in the long run because at the end of the day you never know where football is gonna take you,” Ward said at the scouting combine.
The NFL draft begins on April 24th.
