HAYDEN LAKE, Idaho — A Coeur d’Alene resident captured an amazing photo of the aurora borealis over Hayden Lake Thursday evening.

Former KXLY reporter and cameraman Maury Dahlen, who covered EXPO 74′ in his early career, captured the photos and shared them with friends.
“It wasn’t a large display, but the colors that appeared were truly spectacular,” said Dahlen.
