SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – Automated license plate readers helped Spokane Valley deputies track down a man suspected of assaulting a woman.
The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office was looking for Carl Decker on a domestic violence charge over the weekend.
According to deputies, a woman said Decker held her down, assaulted her and kept her from leaving.
When Decker finally left the area near E. Liberty Avenue and N. Elton Road, she was able to call 911.
Deputies entered Decker’s Alaska license plate number into the Real-Time Crime Center’s system.
Three days later, dispatchers got an alert from the Flock system that Decker’s car had been found on Argonne Road near E. Peone Road.
Deputies pulled him over and arrested him on charges that include unlawful imprisonment and assault.
