SPOKANE, Wash. — One of Spokane’s favorite restaurants is saying goodbye after 40 years.
Peking North, near Rockwell Avenue and Division Street, announced on Facebook on Monday that the restaurant will close at the end of March.
Over the years, Spokanites dined at Peking North enjoying their ‘homestyle menu’ and bar and singing the night away with karaoke.
The restaurant said in their announcement that the building had been sold and that the staff is grateful for all of the support from the community over the years.
“This is not a situation where the business “failed” (we do want to be clear on that) but simply the owners are ready to retire and the building was sold. For all of them, it was just time. Our staff is deeply saddened by the news, but also optimistic about new journeys for all, as well as some much needed rest for our owners. Please come and give us all some love while you still can. Thank you everyone for an incredible place that many of us have called home for so many years. We will miss it deeply. We hope to see you.”
Peking North’s last day will be March 31.
