SEATTLE, Wash. — The Seattle Mariners acquired veteran infielder Justin Turner from the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for Double-A outfielder RJ Schreck.
Turner is hitting .257 with six home runs and 31 RBI’s this season.
He joins Randy Arozarena as the newest additions to Seattle that are expected to help a lineup that ranks second-worst in baseball.
Turner could spend time first base with Ty France no longer on the roster.
Prior to his time in Toronto, Turner played in nine straight postseasons, including a World Series victory with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2020.
