Williams simply could not be stopped in Eastern Washington’s 83-80 win over Sacramento State, shooting 11-18 from the field and dropping 29 points and six assists.
After a 74-74 tie with 2:23 to go, EWU scored on every possession, the Eagles finally capping it off with a Williams’ three-pointer with 2.7 seconds to go.
Andrew Cook also had a great night, shooting 6-10 and tallying 17 points and four rebounds. He scored four points and snagged two rebounds in the final 3:17 of the game.
This win moves Eastern to an 8-16 record, 4-7 in the Big Sky.
They next host the Portland State Vikings this Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
