GARFIELD COUNTY, Wash. — All evacuations for the Lower Granite Fire north of Pomeroy have been reduced.
According to the Garfield County Sheriff, the area under level 3 evacuations are now level 2.
The area previously under level 2 evacuations are now level 1.

Level 3 evacuations (GO NOW) have been ordered for a wildfire burning north of the city of Pomeroy.
According to the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office, the wildfire started on South Deadman Road, in the north end of Garfield County.
Level 3 evacuations (Go Now) have been issued for people living near South Deadman Road north, now Bratcher Grade east. This includes Lynn Gulch, Washboard, Bratcher Grade, East Lynn Gulch, North Deadman Creek, McGrann Hill, Wawawai Road, Lambie Grade, Bounds Road, Debow and Tramway.
Level 2 evacuations (Get Ready) for all residences from Kirby Mayview Road east to the Garfield County line and north of Highway 12. That includes South Kirby Mayview Road, Valentine, McKee Road, Elsensohn Road, Malone Hill, Howell Grade, Legge Road, Ledgerwood Road, Olson Road, Bowman Road, Beale Road, If your road is in these areas and we did not specify them please follow the appropriate evacuation order.
Residents can evacuate animals and themselves to the Garfield County Fairgrounds.
GCSO said, people living in the city of Pomeroy are not under the Level 3 Evacuation notice.
Garfield County Fire, USFS and DNR are in the area actively working this fire.
