SPOKANE, Wash. — The man accused of shooting and killing a 13-year-old Spokane boy has been booked into the Spokane County Jail.
25-year-old Glen Dylan Burkey was arrested in Missoula, Montana on Wednesday.
He is believed to be responsible for shooting through the door of a house in Hillyard early Saturday morning. One shot hit 13-year-old Peperzak Middle School student Gavin Looper in the head. Looper died shortly after from the injury.
Police said Looper was playing video games in the early morning hours when he was hit by gunfire.
According to court documents from Montana, it was believed that Burkey used a revolver to fire multiple shots, and ran away from the home as someone fired back with a .380 caliber handgun.
Burkey was transported from Missoula to Spokane on Friday.
He is being held in the Spokane County Jail for 2nd Degree Murder, Drive-by Shooting and 2nd Degree Assault.
