SPOKANE, Wash. — A brush fire is burning about 15 minutes south of Downtown Spokane near Highway 195 on Sunday evening.
Around 6:45 p.m. on July 28, Washington State Patrol closed Highway 195 from Hatch Road to Excelsior Road in both directions as crews work to fight the Mullen Hill Fire.
On Monday, southbound lanes reopened and one northbound lane was opened.
Department of Natural Resources says a drone delayed air resources from deploying when the fire first broke out.
The fire is expected to be 100% lined by the end of the day Monday.
