COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — A fire broke out at a home in Coeur d’Alene on Sunday afternoon.
According to Coeur d’Alene Fire Department, fire crews responded to a reported garage fire at a home near Adeline Avenue and 11th Street around 12:30 p.m. on January 19.
When firefighters arrived, they found a detached garage behind a home in flames.
The homeowner suffered minor injuries from attempting to put out the fire before crews arrived, but did not need to be hospitalized.
CDAFD said the garage is a total loss.
Around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, CDAFD said crews were still putting out some hotspots in the garage and that most of Adeline Avenue was shut down for the response.
The department said it would conduct an investigation into what caused the fire after the flames were completely out.
