CHENEY, Wash. — Police are searching for a man wanted for domestic violence and burglary in Cheney on Thursday night.
Around 7 p.m. on January 16, Cheney Police Department responded to home near University Lane and College Hill Street.
When officers arrived, they found an unarmed man whose presence at the home violated an active protection order.
They said the man was known to police for having a ‘long history’ of violating domestic violence protection orders.
As CPD arrived, the man left the home through a window and ran off.
Officers launched a drone and began a K9 search throughout the area, but were unable to find him.
As of 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, CPD is still searching for the unnamed man.
Officers said the community should remain vigilant and keep an eye out for a white male in his 30s, without a shirt or shoes.
CPD said if you see him, do not approach him and call 9-1-1.
He is wanted for domestic violence and residential burglary.
