North Idaho firefighters arrive in California to help fight deadly wildfires

KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho — Northern Lakes firefighters have officially arrived in Southern California ready to help with the deadly wildfires that have displaced thousands and left nearly a dozen dead.

The firefighters will receive assignments on Saturday.

They are one of many firefighting teams that made their way to California this week to help those in need.

Firefighters are expected to be down in California for the next few weeks.
