SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A baby taken to a hospital in critical condition Sunday died four days after being found unresponsive.
The Spokane Valley Sheriff’s Office said the five-month-old was sleeping around 8:15 p.m. on July 21, 2024 when 911 was called. Paramedics and doctors alerted deputies to serious injuries in the baby. Thursday evening, the baby died at the hospital.

The infant’s mother, 22-year-old Amlyann Harry, was originally arrested Sunday for first-degree child assault. Since the baby passed away from it’s injuries, the charge has been upgraded to first-degree murder.
