POST FALLS, Idaho — A Post Falls business is helping people of all ages learn how to protect themselves in emergencies.
Gracie Jiu-Jitsu provides a range of classes, including self-defense for women and bullying prevention for kids. Classes are available for participants of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced learners.
Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is a martial arts style that focuses on both physical and verbal capabilities. Students learn to fight against common attacks while also learning how to de-escalate situations and set boundaries using their words.
Co-owner and instructor Amanda Thola says her mission is to help people prepare for real-life scenarios.
“My biggest heart’s desire is that children, women, men—everybody in the family—knows how to defend themselves if, God forbid, they ever find themselves in a situation where they need to,” said Thola.
This Saturday, Gracie Jiu-Jitsu will host a free self-defense seminar for women of all ages. Attendees will learn practical self-defense techniques, gain confidence, and build self-esteem.
The seminar will take place at 3 p.m. at the Post Falls location, 414 West Seltice Way. To register, visit the website here.
