ATHOL, Idaho – Crews took just over an hour Wednesday morning to put out a fire on a BNSF train in North Idaho.
Timberlake Fire District says flames were coming from the engine compartment of the locomotive near the intersection of Diagonal Road and Massif southwest of Athol.
Crews from Timberlake Fire Protection District were assisted by firefighters from Spirit Lake Fire, Northern Lakes Fire and Selkirk Fire and Rescue.
