KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho — A Coeur d’Alene woman died and two other people were hospitalized in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 95 south of Athol Friday evening.
According to Idaho State Police, a 23-year-old Montana man was driving a 2012 Toyota Tacoma northbound on the highway near Parks Road around 7:30 p.m. Friday. At the same time, a 75-year-old Coeur d’Alene man and his 92-year-old female passenger pulled out of Parks Road heading southbound on Highway 95 in a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder.
The Tacoma then crashed into the SUV. The 92-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both drivers were taken to a local hospital and were last reported to be in stable condition.
ISP said the crash is still under investigation.
