SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash.— For many, the rewards of giving are first truly appreciated in adulthood. But at Santa Express in the Spokane Valley Mall, children can get an early start on this holiday tradition.
Santa Express provides young shoppers with the opportunity to select low-priced presents while receiving guidance from ‘elf’ volunteers. Items range in price from $1 to $12, and the volunteers assist children with everything from budgeting to wrapping their gifts.
Parents aren’t left out either — a designated shopping section is available for adults. All proceeds from the shop benefit Vanessa Behan, a safe shelter for children in crisis situations.
