FERRY COUNTY, Wash. — Firefighters battling the Swawilla Fire burning north of Grand Coulee are getting some help from FEMA.
Federal funding was requested by the state of Washington and approved to help efforts on the Colville Reservation, Ferry County, and Okanogan County.
The fire is threatening structures and forcing people from their homes in the town of Keller and other nearby areas.
FEMA determined the fire has potential to be a major disaster.
