PULLMAN, Wash. — Two students were arrested for threatening to commit a shooting at Pullman High School on Tuesday.
Pullman Police Department responded to threats at Pullman High School around 8 a.m. on December 10.
According to PPD, school staff had become aware of threats made by a student to bring a gun to school and shoot a teacher.
When PPD arrived at the school, the student suspects were found before class began and removed from their peers. The school was temporarily placed in “secure and teach.”
During their investigation, police learned that several students had heard about the threats on Monday, but did not come forward. Police determined two students had threatened to bring a gun to school and carry out a shooting.
The students had mentioned their intent to shoot two specific students as well.
According to PPD, no firearm has been recovered.
Police arrested a 14-year-old Pullman resident and a 14-year-old Whitman County resident. Both were arrested for felony harassment and threats to bomb or injure property.
As of Tuesday evening, police are still investigating the incident.
